For the past decade or so, I have been in love with the idea of compositing dreamy architectural imagery. I typically use a photo I've taken of a building that I find particularly beautiful, isolate it in Photoshop, and begin layering different cloud images, colours, paint, and gradients in the background. I continually layer elements until achieve the desired effect.
